6th World - Las Vegas
Please note, the google map is a living map and should reflect the current situations of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas (Sixth World)
Welcome to Sin City.
While technically a part of the Pueblo Corporate Council, Sixth World Las Vegas operates under its own unique and unofficial rules. Real power lies not with elected officials, but with a volatile mix of corrupt politicians, megacorporate interests, and entrenched criminal organizations. Vegas is neutral ground, a pressure valve for the Sixth World—where deals are made, fortunes vanish, and secrets are buried beneath neon and concrete.
Las Vegas does not pretend to be virtuous. It simply sells the illusion better than anyone else.
Districts
=============
Geological Landscape
=======================
Las Vegas is an engineered oasis surrounded by unforgiving desert.
- The Mojave has grown increasingly hostile due to climate collapse and magical instability.
- Water scarcity defines the region; nearly all water is recycled, rationed, or artificially produced.
- Massive climate-control systems regulate temperature and humidity within key districts.
- Mana storms occasionally sweep through the region, creating unpredictable elemental hazards.
- Subterranean ley lines beneath the Strip have been manipulated for decades, resulting in localized mana fluctuations and occasional magical anomalies.
The city’s isolation is both a vulnerability and a defense—nothing reaches Las Vegas accidentally.
Political Intrigue
=====================
Political power in Las Vegas is deliberately fragmented.
- The Pueblo Corporate Council maintains nominal control through corporate initiatives and private security contracts.
- No single corporation is allowed to dominate openly; balance is enforced through shadow agreements and mutual blackmail.
- Organized crime syndicates—including the Mafia, Yakuza, and Triads—maintain deep-rooted influence.
- Casinos act as political actors, laundering money, information, and favors.
- Las Vegas is widely used as neutral territory for high-risk negotiations, proxy deals, and deniable operations.
In Vegas, laws exist primarily to be bent, sold, or selectively enforced.
Social Dynamics
==================
Las Vegas is a city of extremes.
- Wealthy elites inhabit sealed luxury towers and casino arcologies, insulated from the outside world.
- Service workers, performers, and wage slaves occupy tightly controlled residential districts.
- The poor and SINless live on the margins—service tunnels, abandoned hotels, and desert-edge settlements.
- Metahumans of all types coexist, though discrimination remains common and systemic.
- Awakened phenomena are treated as both attractions and hazards, depending on profitability.
Despite the city’s ruthless nature, informal communities persist—often organized around gangs, casinos, or charismatic local power brokers.
Technomancers
Technomancers occupy a precarious position in Las Vegas society.
- Often feared, misunderstood, or quietly exploited.
- Casinos aggressively recruit or hunt technomancers for matrix security and data warfare.
- Many operate in the shadows as information brokers, digital saboteurs, or high-stakes freelancers.
- Others are forced into indentured service through debt, coercion, or blackmail.
In a city built on data, illusion, and control, technomancers are both invaluable and disposable.
Life in Sin City
In Sixth World Las Vegas:
- Fortunes are made and lost in seconds.
- Loyalty is temporary.
- Alliances expire without warning.
- Everything has a price—and someone is always keeping score.
The only certainty is that life in Las Vegas is always a gamble.
